Thanks to the victory of the Mindchangers call promoted by the Piedmont Region, StraLi is an active participant - as a co-promoting association - in the GASP! project, led by the Eufemia association. The main focus of the Mindchangers call was the climate crisis, a topic that is frequently discussed nowadays. Civil society movements, both student-led and scientific, are fighting to have its emergency status recognized and to demand concrete actions from governments. Undoubtedly, we can see the tangible consequences of this crisis in prolonged droughts, increasingly extreme weather events, the displacement of people due to unsustainable changes in their home territories, and the so-called "climate anxiety" affecting many of us.

So, what can we do in the face of this enormous challenge?
The GASP! project aims to answer this question by bringing together numerous associations in Italy, particularly in Piedmont. We offer young people aged 15 to 35 the opportunity to learn not only about climate change as a phenomenon but also about the tools of active citizenship through which they can organize, demand, and provide solutions.

StraLi's role in the GASP! project consists of three distinct stages. The first part involves six online training sessions dedicated to the tools of strategic litigation and law in general, which can be used to address the climate crisis. Specifically, we will offer three methodological sessions on how to build a strategic path using legal tools, and three sessions focused on the application of these tools in the field of environmental law, artificial intelligence, and migration. The second part of GASP! will include a three-day residential workshop in which participants, with the support of StraLi, will launch an awareness campaign related to a specific case. Finally, a final conference will be held, which will also involve the participation of experts in the field of environmental law.

Following GASP!'s main objective, StraLi aims to facilitate and provide suitable tools for youth participation in environmental issues, primarily targeting - but not exclusively - law students and environmental activists.

The online training will start on April 6, 2023. Please follow this link to register:
